about me

Welcome to my blog!

This all started with some pushing from the man, J-Hay. I think he was so tired of me spending crazy amounts of time reading other people's blogs that he thought I should just have my own! So here I am.

So who am I, exactly? I am a twentysomething woman, working full-time, and trying to finish my part-time Public Health graduate school program. I love to stay active, mainly by running and gym workouts, but I also love to hike, bike, ski, and many other seasonal activities. I obviously love to cook. Hence the main subject of this blog. I'm here to experiment for you and discover ways to incorporate healthy and fresh ingredients into everyday dishes. I believe that good health begins in the kitchen, and we can improve the health of our community by reforming harmful food policy and improving access to healthy options.

Let's start moving and cooking!

  1. Congratulations to Katy! We are lucky to have her back blogging, now stepping it up to help better our bodies and brains on a regular basis. She is spot on when she tells us that good health commences in the kitchen as your body is only as good as the fuel that you fill it with. We look forward to discovering exotic eats and pallette pleasing plates of food formerly unfamiliar to our dreary diets. Let's get cooking!
